Walking through Autumn leaves

On a day like this it’s no punishment to have a dog that’s a big fan of long walks…. The temperature is rather high in Holland for this time of year, and we have a lot of beautiful nature around our house!

We made our usual ‘round’ through the forest and that reminded me of what always makes me smile in Autumn/Fall. That wonderful sound when you walk through a pile of freshly fallen leaves….! I used to do it as a kid and still love it!!! 💕

Maybe I’m wrong, but I think a lot of people will recognize it…. IMG_8754.JPG

CFC-71: Fall fun

For this challenge I’ve stamped the flower stamp with three different colours Distress ink (walnut stain, vintage photo and tea dye), because this is autumn to me… 😉

I hesitated to add embellishments, but I liked the card in its ‘simplicity’ and only added a sentiment to complete it.

Day 7 of Kickstart is all about challenging yourself… 😉

I was inspired by the challenge from CAS-ual Fridays to create a clean and simple project inspired by autumn and combined it with the challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog: Emboss it!

I’ve used clear embossing powder to keep the ‘natural look’ of the cardstock and chose the Prima Marketing Reflections paper stack for the warm colours to paper piece the flowers….

Honestly, I am not completely satisfied with the result: I love the warm (autumn) colours, but I want to give the ‘clean and simpel’ another try… !
